Submissions

The journal welcomes both full-length articles as well as shorter notes. Essays should be between 4,000-8,000 words in length, and notes should not exceed 2,500 words. A brief abstract (approximately 50 words) should accompany each submission. Manuscripts and book reviews must be prepared according to the MLA Style Manual and Guide to Scholarly Publishing, 3rd ed. (2008), and should contain endnotes rather than footnotes. All submissions must be sent via email as an attached document.

Please see “Checklist for Contributors” for detailed information on the MLA and the journal’s house style.

Please address all submissions and queries to the executive editor, Derek Parker Royal, at rothstudies_AT_rothsociety.org.
